Senior PHP Developer

About the Role
Accion Labs is looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join a product engineering team supporting enterprise-grade web platforms. This role involves owning features end-to-end, from requirements analysis and design to development, testing, deployment, and production support.
We are seeking engineers who actively leverage AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity while maintaining high standards of code quality, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applications.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Build and maintain front-end and back-end components.
Utilize AI coding assistants and agentic development tools in daily work.
Review and validate AI-generated code for quality, performance, and security.
Write automated tests and ensure reliable production deployments.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and participate in on-call activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong full-stack engineering background.
Hands-on experience with React, PHP, or Perl (React preferred).
Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar.
Strong testing mindset and experience with automated testing.
Ability to work effectively within large existing codebases.
Experience supporting production applications and resolving incidents.
Excellent communication skills in a remote, distributed environment.
Nice to Have
Strong React expertise.
PHP and/or Perl development experience.
Experience with cloud platforms, managed hosting, or high-availability environments.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability, and production troubleshooting.
Experience with AI-driven development workflows and automated code review tools.
