Job Description - Sr. Java Developer

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and microservices.
Build and enhance distributed systems using Apache Kafka for real-time data processing and event-driven architectures.
Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and related Spring frameworks.
Manage project dependencies and build processes using Maven.
Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Automate application deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning using Chef and Ansible.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS Cloud services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards, security, and best practices.
Required Skills:
6+ years of experience in Java application development.
Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot.
Experience with Apache Kafka for messaging and streaming solutions.
Proficiency in Maven for build and dependency management.
Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD implementation.
Experience in configuration management and deployment automation using Chef and/or Ansible.
Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and CloudWatch.
Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and REST APIs.
Experience with Git and version control systems.
Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK, Grafana, or Splunk.
AWS certification is an added advantage.
