Role Overview
SoulStay is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Graphic Design Volunteer Intern to support the Company's visual branding, digital marketing, and content development initiatives.
This internship provides an opportunity for an aspiring designer to gain practical experience working with a growing digital brand and startup environment. The Volunteer Intern will work closely with relevant members of the SoulStay team to support the creation of visual content for social media, marketing campaigns, presentations, promotional materials, and other brand initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in graphic design and visual storytelling, a good eye for design and creativity, and a willingness to learn, receive feedback, and develop practical design skills.
Key Responsibilities
The Volunteer Intern will, under appropriate guidance and supervision:
Support the design of engaging and visually appealing graphics for SoulStay's social media platforms, digital campaigns, presentations, advertisements, and promotional materials.
Assist in creating branded marketing materials, including flyers, banners, social media graphics, infographics, thumbnails, and other visual content.
Support the development of short-form visual and video content for social media campaigns, reels, promotional content, and brand storytelling.
Assist in maintaining consistency with SoulStay's brand identity, visual style, tone, and communication across relevant digital platforms.
Collaborate with members of the marketing, social media, content, and operations teams on creative campaigns and brand initiatives.
Assist in creating visually engaging content relating to hospitality, accommodation, lifestyle, local experiences, culture, and other areas relevant to SoulStay's evolving platform.
Adapt and optimize creative designs for different social media platforms, digital formats, and screen sizes.
Manage assigned creative tasks and work towards completing deliverables within agreed timelines.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns, content, and brand development.
Stay informed about relevant design trends, social media content formats, and emerging digital media practices.
Assist with basic design collaboration, presentation materials, or simple interface mockups where required and appropriate to the Intern's skill level.
Receive and implement constructive feedback to improve assigned creative work.
Perform other reasonable creative and design-related tasks assigned in support of the Intern's learning objectives and SoulStay's operational and brand needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:
A demonstrated interest in graphic design, visual communication, digital content creation, or a related creative field.
Basic to intermediate proficiency in one or more design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Figma, or similar software.
Basic knowledge of typography, colour, layout, visual composition, and design principles.
An interest in creating engaging content for social media and digital platforms.
Basic video editing skills or a willingness to learn video editing using tools such as CapCut, VN, Premiere Pro, or similar platforms.
Creativity, attention to detail, and an interest in visual storytelling.
A willingness to learn, receive feedback, and improve creative and technical skills.
The ability to manage assigned tasks responsibly and meet agreed deadlines.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Access to a reliable computer or other suitable device and internet connection necessary to carry out assigned remote internship tasks.
A portfolio is an advantage. However, applicants with limited professional experience may submit personal projects, academic work, sample designs, or other creative work demonstrating their design abilities and potential.

Familiarity with Figma or other collaborative design tools.
Basic knowledge or interest in UI/UX design principles.
Basic experience with video editing, motion graphics, or animation.
Experience creating content for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, or other digital platforms.
Interest in startups, technology, hospitality, lifestyle, local culture, or digital platforms.
