Role Description The Area Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for driving business growth and achieving sales targets for affordable housing finance products in the assigned territory. This role involves managing and mentoring a team of sales officers, monitoring branch performance, and ensuring consistent lead generation and conversion through field activities and local partnerships. The Area Sales Manager will oversee customer acquisition, conduct market analysis, and build strong relationships with channel partners, local influencers, and community organizations. Daily responsibilities include reviewing sales pipelines, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines, coordinating closely with credit and operations teams, and supporting initiatives to improve customer experience. The role also requires regular reporting, performance reviews, and contributing ideas for local marketing and outreach campaigns that align with Aadhar’s mission of inclusive homeownership.
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales management, preferably in housing finance
Strong skills in team leadership, performance management, and field sales supervision.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, builders, channel partners, and stakeholders.
Solid understanding of prime and affordable housing finance, credit processes, and basic regulatory requirements.
Comfort with data-driven decision-making, including sales forecasting, pipeline tracking, and territory planning.
Effective communication and negotiation skills in English and local languages relevant to the Chennai region.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area and work in on-ground, customer-facing environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
High integrity, resilience, and the ability to work under targets while maintaining compliance and ethical standards
