Role Description The Category Intern role at Yuzi is a remote internship focused on supporting the management and optimization of product categories within a modern fashion environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with category performance analysis, tracking product assortments, and compiling reports to inform pricing, inventory, and merchandising decisions. The intern will support procurement activities by gathering supplier data, helping prepare documentation, and contributing to basic contract reviews under guidance. This role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholders, and contributing to initiatives that enhance category strategy and overall brand positioning. The internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in category management while working closely with experienced professionals in a fast-evolving fashion house.
Qualifications
MBA from Tier 1 Institutions
0-1 year of Experience
Category Management skills, including basic understanding of product assortment, pricing.
Analytical skills to interpret data, prepare reports, and draw insights that support category and procurement decisions.
Strong Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, sharing findings clearly, and supporting cross-functional projects.
Comfort working in a remote setting, with good time management, organization, and attention to detail.
Interest in contemporary fashion, brand strategy, and culture-led businesses; prior coursework or experience in business, fashion management, or supply chain is a plus.
Proficiency with productivity and data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software); familiarity with basic analytics or reporting tools is beneficial.
Ability to learn quickly, take initiative on tasks, and contribute thoughtfully to team discussions and category projects.
