Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced ManageEngine OpManager Migration Engineer to lead the migration of enterprise network monitoring from PRTG Network Monitor to ManageEngine OpManager.
The consultant will be responsible for assessing the existing PRTG deployment, replicating and optimizing monitoring configurations in OpManager, validating monitoring coverage, and ensuring a seamless transition with minimal operational impact.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and document the existing PRTG monitoring environment, including sensors, device groups, alerts, dependencies, and reports.
Design and implement migration of monitoring configurations from PRTG to ManageEngine OpManager.
Recreate monitoring thresholds, alerts, escalations, and notification workflows within OpManager.
Develop and configure dashboards, reports, and performance monitoring views.
Integrate OpManager with ManageEngine ITSM solutions for incident and event management.
Validate monitoring accuracy and ensure parity with existing PRTG monitoring capabilities.
Optimize monitoring architecture and recommend best practices for scalability and performance.
Perform testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Create migration documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
Conduct stakeholder walkthroughs and support operational teams during transition.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with: PRTG Network Monitor, ManageEngine OpManager or other ManageEngine products
Knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting methodologies.
Experience performing monitoring platform migrations.
Ability to map and convert monitoring configurations, dashboards, and reports between tools.
