AI Search Optimization Specialist - Part-Time Freelance

Responsibilities / Position Overview
The AI Search Optimization Specialist (internally known as "LLM Optimization Specialist") supports Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and AI Search Optimization (AISO) initiatives by improving discoverability across AI-driven answer platforms and traditional search engines, while driving organic visibility, citation performance, and actionable insights for clients.
This is a part-time freelance position estimated at 10-20 hour per week.
Qualifications
Required Education/Skills/Experience
Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) concepts, entity optimization, and topical authority building
Hands-on experience conducting detailed prompt research using SEO/AI-SEO intelligence tools (e.g., BrightEdge, SEMRush); Google Search Console experience required, SEMRush experience preferred
Experience identifying and disavowing toxic backlinks
Ability to build, validate, and quality-check (QA) JSON-LD/Schema markup and llms.txt files
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with dedicated healthcare provider (HCP) AI platforms is a major plus (e.g., OpenEvidence, Doximity Ask, Medscape AI), including experience with paid placement opportunities on these platforms.
