Role Description The P&C Insurance AI Developer will design, build, and deploy AI models that power Poliqs’ insurance intelligence capabilities, with a focus on behavioral insights and operational optimization for property and casualty carriers. This full-time, on-site role is based in Hyderabad and involves collaborating closely with product, data, and engineering teams to translate insurance business requirements into robust ML and AI solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing algorithms for pattern recognition and predictive modeling, implementing and refining neural network architectures, and integrating NLP components into core platform workflows. The developer will participate in end-to-end software development, including coding, testing, performance tuning, and production monitoring of AI services. The role also includes continuously improving models using real-time data, ensuring scalability and reliability in a cloud environment, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices.
Qualifications
Strong foundations in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, APIs, and distributed systems.
Proficiency in Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks for building predictive and classification models in real-world applications.
Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and libraries for intent detection, text analytics, and conversational interfaces.
Hands-on experience with modern ML/AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and programming languages such as Python or Java.
Familiarity with property and casualty insurance concepts, data models, and workflows, or strong interest in learning the insurance domain.
Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical partners.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), MLOps practices, and deploying AI services to production is highly beneficial.
