Role Description The Director of Portfolio Management is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the planning, prioritization, and performance of a portfolio of financial and operational programs and projects. This role involves defining portfolio strategies, aligning initiatives with business goals, and ensuring optimal allocation of resources across banking, credit, tax, and advisory services. Day-to-day activities include reviewing portfolio performance metrics, managing risks and dependencies, coordinating with program and project managers, and presenting portfolio updates and recommendations to senior leadership. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes, drive value from investments, and support data-driven decision-making. This position also leads continuous refinement of portfolio management frameworks, tools, and governance to enhance transparency and outcomes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Portfolio Management and Project Portfolio Management skills to lead and optimize a complex portfolio of initiatives.
Candidates should possess solid Program Management skills to oversee execution, dependencies, and delivery across multiple programs.
Candidates should possess robust Finance skills to evaluate investment cases, budget allocations, and financial performance of the portfolio.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess risks, and support strategic decision-making.
Extensive experience in financial services, consulting, or related sectors, ideally in a leadership role managing multi-disciplinary portfolios.
Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment, collaborate across distributed teams, and communicate clearly with executive stakeholders.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation abilities, with a track record of driving alignment and managing change.
Relevant academic background in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications in portfolio or project management are beneficial.
