Field Service Engineer II

The person taking the Field Service Engineer role will spend the majority of their time in four key areas:
Traveling between hospitals/labs, universities, and pharma sites based on assignment of service requests.
Troubleshooting and resolving customer and product issues.
Building positive relationships with Bio-Rad customers.
Documenting service results in order to maintain accurate quality records.
The environment and culture for this role is fast-paced and you’ll be constantly “on the go”. It requires the ability to solve complex problems while maintaining strong relationships with our customers.

How You’ll Make An Impact
Performing repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on Bio-Rad’s instruments, ensuring the quality performance of our instruments for customers who are working to advance the future of healthcare.
Supporting and maintaining the Bio-Rad instruments on which our customers rely on to make scientific breakthroughs helping to advance healthcare research and treatments.
Building and sustaining strong relationships allows you to anticipate and advocate for our customers' needs.
By adhering to FDA and GMP regulations and requirements with detailed record keeping and service documentation helps protect Bio-Rad’s integrity and reputation in the industry.
What You Bring
Education/Work Experience: At least 1 - 3 years of transferable field service experience servicing electro-mechanical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment and an A.S. or B.S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field or military equivalent experience).
Hands on experience with Diagnostic or Life Science instruments.
Ability to read, understand and successfully follow medium to highly complex work instructions.
Strong computer skills and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Strong customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral.
Location: This position covers the Detroit, MI area. The individual must live within a geography that allows them to visit customers on-site on a daily basis.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $68,400 to $94,100 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
