Shape the Future of Digital Payments & Tokenization
We are looking for a highly experienced Payments & Tokenization Consultant to support a strategic digital payments initiative in Romania.
This is a senior consulting role requiring both deep subject-matter expertise and hands-on delivery capability. You will work across tokenization, digital wallets, issuer processing, authentication and digital commerce, helping stakeholders assess existing capabilities and translate complex payment technologies into practical implementation and operational improvements.
What You'll Do
Provide SME guidance across payment network tokenization platforms, digital wallets and digital credential solutions.
Assess tokenization operating models, processes, controls and implementation approaches.
Review end-to-end tokenized transaction flows across provisioning, authorization, clearing and settlement.
Support digital wallet enablement, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Evaluate Click to Pay, card-on-file tokenization and digital commerce payment journeys.
Assess passkey-based payment authentication solutions, delegated authentication and passwordless payment experiences.
Evaluate token lifecycle processes including provisioning, activation, suspension, resumption and deletion.
Support testing, validation, implementation readiness and operational reviews for tokenization-related solutions.
What We're Looking For
✔ 10+ years of experience across payments, cards, issuer processing, digital banking, payment consulting or related domains.
✔ Demonstrated experience supporting payment tokenization, digital wallets, digital credentials or card payment initiatives.
✔ Deep expertise in payment network tokenization platforms and tokenization ecosystems.
✔ Experience supporting or implementing Apple Pay and Google Pay for issuers.
✔ Strong understanding of issuer authorization systems, card processing and end-to-end payment transaction flows.
✔ Strong experience with token lifecycle management, including provisioning, activation, suspension, resumption and deletion.
✔ Knowledge of token requestor frameworks, token domains, token assurance levels and token management processes.
✔ Experience with Click to Pay, card-on-file tokenization, e-commerce payments and digital wallet transaction processing.
✔ Knowledge of passkey-based payment authentication solutions, delegated authentication, FIDO-based authentication and passwordless payment experiences.
✔ Experience supporting testing, validation, implementation and production readiness for tokenization-related solutions.
✔ Strong workshop facilitation, presentation and stakeholder-management capabilities.
