Role Overview
Stride Logistics & Consultants is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate to support the accounting operations of a Canada-based apparel business.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics ERP, solid accounting fundamentals, and the ability to independently manage core accounting activities in an inventory-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage AP, AR, General Ledger and daily accounting operations
Process and review vendor invoices, customer billing, payments and reconciliations
Perform bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments and accounting adjustments
Support inventory accounting, costing and reconciliations
Own key activities supporting month-end and year-end close
Support GST/HST accounting and reconciliations
Review vendor and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
Prepare accounting schedules, reports and management information
Support external accountants and auditors with required documentation
Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete and maintained on time
Must-Have Requirements
Hands-on Microsoft Dynamics ERP experience – mandatory
strong English communication – mandatory. Fluent Hind is a plus.
5+ years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience
Strong knowledge of AP, AR, GL, reconciliations and month-end close
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
Ability to work independently and manage priorities during EST business hours
Experience in apparel, retail, wholesale, distribution or other inventory-driven businesses is strongly preferred.
