We Are
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You are someone who looks at a test failure and does not just log it, you dig until you understand why it happened and what it means for the next release. Scripting is not a chore for you, it is how you make repetitive work disappear so you can focus on the problems that actually need a human brain. You have spent enough time in labs or codebases to know that quality is not something you test in at the end, it is something you build into the process from the start.
Data tells you stories. When you see a trend in regression results, you do not wait for someone else to notice, you pull the thread, ask the right questions, and surface what matters. You are comfortable working across teams, translating between what verification found, what design needs to know, and what a release checklist actually requires.
You do not need years of experience to have a point of view. You know when a process is not working and you are not afraid to suggest a better way. At Synopsys, you will work on Embedded Memory IP that powers the devices people use every day, and the rigor you bring to testing and automation will directly affect whether those products ship on time and work as promised.
What You'll Be Doing
Run kickoff and release meetings across design, verification, and release teams, making sure compliance checkpoints are hit and nothing falls through the cracks
Execute regression testing on Embedded Memory IP, catch issues before they reach customers, and track results across release cycles
Analyze test data to spot trends, recurring failures, and process gaps that affect product quality or schedule
Write and maintain Python and Tcl automation scripts that eliminate manual testing steps and speed up validation workflows
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align on quality gates, release criteria, and issue resolution timelines
Document test results, failure analysis, and process improvements in a way that helps the next engineer understand what happened and why
The Impact You Will Have
Ensure Embedded Memory IP on advanced process nodes ships with zero critical defects, directly affecting customer success and market readiness
Reduce validation cycle time by automating repetitive test and data collection tasks, freeing engineers to focus on complex debug work
Surface quality and process issues early in the development cycle, preventing costly delays and rework downstream
Improve the reliability of regression infrastructure so teams can trust test results and make faster release decisions
Strengthen compliance and traceability across the release process, reducing risk and audit friction
Enable smarter decision-making by turning raw test data into actionable insights for design and verification teams
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
2 years of experience in validation, testing, quality assurance, or a related engineering role
Working knowledge of Python or Tcl for scripting and automation
Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Familiarity with regression testing, release processes, or quality management systems is a plus
Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to work across teams without losing track of details
Who You Are
You can look at a spreadsheet of test results and spot the one anomaly that matters, not just the loudest failure
You write scripts that other people can actually read and modify six months later
You are comfortable running a meeting with senior engineers and keeping it focused without being intimidated
When a process does not make sense, you ask why before you follow it blindly
You can explain a technical issue to a release manager in two sentences without losing the nuance
You stay organized when managing multiple release tracks, test cycles, and compliance checkpoints at once
