About the role
Come join ThoughtSpot and build products that are transforming how people interact with data. We are looking for an early-career Member of Technical Staff (MTS 3) who is excited to work across the full stack, building intuitive user experiences, scalable backend services, and cloud-native applications.
This is a general software engineering role, ideal for engineers with 1 to 2 years of professional experience who enjoy solving technical problems, shipping high-quality code, and collaborating with product and design teams to build customer-facing features at scale.
What you'll do
Design, build, and maintain full stack applications across frontend and backend services.
Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern web technologies.
Build scalable backend APIs, services, and data processing components.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a focus on quality and performance.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver end-to-end features.
Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Learn and contribute to cloud-native development, deployment, and monitoring of applications.
What you'll bring
1 to 2 years of software engineering experience building full stack applications.
Strong programming skills in one or more object-oriented languages such as Java.
Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
Understanding of backend development concepts including REST APIs, databases, and microservices.
Familiarity with SQL and data modeling fundamentals.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with basic knowledge of containers or cloud deployment concepts.
Strong problem-solving skills, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a strong learning mindset.
Nice to have
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to distributed systems or event-driven architectures.
Familiarity with testing frameworks and observability tools.
Contributions to personal projects, internships, or open-source software are a plus.
