About the role

We're hiring a software engineer to maintain and extend the Go backend behind an apparel manufacturing platform. The system is live with real users, and you would own the backend end to end. You will report to our Tech Lead and need 5–10 hours a week free for discussion and implementation.
Go - Standard Library.
Database - PostgreSQL via pgx.
Testing - Standard Library with Testcontainers.
Workflow - Github Projects and stacked PRs.
You do not need to be a Go expert. AI-assisted development is how we work here - we expect fluency with Claude Code and the throughput that comes with it
What we are actually hiring for is judgement - the ability to read an unfamiliar system and work out why it is the way it is, to tell a good change apart from a clever one, and to take responsibility for something other people depend on.
Fully remote. Compensation is hourly and USD pegged
