Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer Trainee to join our product engineering team. This entry level role is designed for fresh graduates who will support the team through technical documentation, application testing, and day-to-day engineering assistance, building strong fundamentals in the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain technical documentation including user guides, release notes, and knowledge base articles.
Perform manual testing of web applications and APIs; execute test cases and log defects with reproduction steps.
Support existing engineers with day-to-day tasks such as basic bug fixes, code formatting, and environment setup.
Assist in writing functional and technical specifications based on inputs from senior engineers and product teams.
Use tools such as Postman to test REST APIs and document request/response formats.
Participate in stand-ups and sprint meetings, coordinating with QA, product, and UI/UX teams.
Required Skills
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python or a similar language.
Understanding SDLC and testing fundamentals (test cases, bug reporting, test cycles).
Basic understanding of REST APIs, SQL/relational databases, and Git/version control.
Familiarity with documentation tools such as MS Word, Confluence, or Markdown.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
Eligibility Criteria
B.Tech/B.E., MCA, BCA, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience.
Strong interest in software testing, technical documentation, and application support.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman and bug-tracking tools such as Jira.
Understanding Agile development practices and basic Docker/cloud concepts.
