Sr. IT Business Analyst – Finance & Accounting

About the Role
We are looking for a Sr. IT Business Analyst – Finance & Accounting who can bridge the gap between Finance, Accounting, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) along with a solid understanding of finance and accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as a key liaison between Finance, Accounting, IT teams, business stakeholders, and implementation partners
• Provide operational support and continuous improvement for D365 Finance & Operations and related finance applications
• Lead requirements gathering, process reviews, workshops, and stakeholder discussions
• Analyze and document business processes, requirements, use cases, process flows, user stories, and functional specifications
• Support finance systems covering GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Treasury, Financial Close & Consolidation, and Financial Reporting
• Participate in D365 F&O implementation, enhancement, and upgrade initiatives
• Support fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support
• Collaborate on integrations, data migration, and system enhancements
• Support UAT, testing, defect resolution, documentation, training, and change management
• Ensure solutions align with business requirements, internal controls, compliance, and regulatory needs
• Work with project teams and IT PMO on project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones
Required Skills & Experience
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O)
• Strong understanding of Finance, Accounting, and Financial Reporting
• Experience with ERP implementation, upgrades, or business transformation projects
• Strong business requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and validation skills
• Good understanding of D365 F&O finance modules, including:
General Ledger
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Fixed Assets
Cash & Bank Management
Budgeting
Financial Reporting
• Understanding of ERP integrations, data migration, and master data management
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and documentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, Azure DevOps, and business process modeling tools
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Good to Have
Experience with any of the following will be an advantage:
• OneStream or similar Financial Close & Consolidation platforms
• Dooap AP Automation or similar AP automation solutions
• BlackLine or similar account reconciliation platforms
• HighRadius or similar treasury/cash management solutions
• Power BI / Microsoft Power Platform
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional certifications
• Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies
• SOX controls, audits, or publicly traded company finance operations
