Senior Shopify Liquid Developer

We are hiring an expert Shopify Liquid Developer with deep experience in custom theme development, advanced Liquid logic, and performance-focused Shopify builds. This role is strictly for professionals who can build, customize, and optimize Shopify stores beyond off-the-shelf themes.
You will work closely with UI/UX designers and project managers to convert high-fidelity designs into clean, scalable, and conversion-focused Shopify stores using best practices.
This is not a basic Shopify setup role. We are looking for real technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Shopify Theme & Custom Development
Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Build custom sections, blocks, templates, and reusable components
Translate UI/UX designs into pixel-accurate, responsive Shopify layouts
Customize existing themes or build themes from scratch when required
Advanced Liquid & Shopify Logic
Write clean, optimized Liquid code for dynamic content rendering
Implement conditional logic, loops, filters, and objects effectively
Work with Shopify metafields, metaobjects, and custom data structures
Handle product, collection, cart, and checkout customization within Shopify limits
Performance & Optimization
Optimize page speed and performance across devices
Minimize reliance on heavy third-party apps through custom coding
Ensure clean markup, efficient assets, and best loading practices
Debug and resolve theme performance issues
App & Integration Support
Integrate and configure Shopify apps where necessary
Work with APIs, third-party scripts, and analytics tools
Ensure integrations do not compromise performance or UX
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure feasibility and design accuracy
Coordinate with Project Managers to meet timelines and delivery standards
Participate in code reviews, QA, and launch readiness checks
QA, Testing & Deployment
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
Fix bugs, edge cases, and layout inconsistencies
Support UAT, deployment, and post-launch fixes
Required Skills & Expertise (Non-Negotiable):
Shopify & Development Skills
Expert-level knowledge of Shopify Liquid
Strong command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Deep understanding of Shopify theme architecture
Experience building custom Shopify themes or heavily customized themes
Strong knowledge of Shopify objects, filters, and data handling
Advanced Shopify Knowledge
Experience with Shopify metafields and metaobjects
Familiarity with Shopify CLI and theme version control
Understanding of Shopify limitations and workarounds
Experience optimizing Shopify stores for speed and scalability
Professional Experience
4+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience
Proven experience delivering production-ready Shopify stores
Experience working in agency or multi-project environments
Ability to work independently and take ownership of development tasks
