Role Description This is a full-time WordPress Developer role in a hybrid work model, based in Bengaluru, with some flexibility for work from home. The WordPress Developer will build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including themes and plugins, to meet design and functional requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include converting design mockups into responsive, user-friendly web pages, configuring and optimizing site performance, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The role involves collaborating with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to implement features, troubleshoot issues, and improve user experience. The developer will also be expected to follow best practices for security, updates, and documentation, while contributing ideas to enhance overall web solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design.
Candidates should possess solid Back-End Web Development skills related to WordPress, including theme and plugin customization, PHP basics, and database interactions.
Candidates should possess Web Design and Web Development skills to translate visual concepts into functional WordPress sites and optimize user experience.
Experience with WordPress CMS, including installation, configuration, updates, and security best practices, is highly beneficial.
Understanding of SEO fundamentals, website performance optimization, and version control tools (e.g., Git) is preferred.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment, manage multiple projects, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
A relevant degree or certification in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is advantageous.
