🚨 Hiring: Lead Java Developer – Financial Services 🚨
📍 Location: New York City, NY – Remote
💼 Type: Contract
💻 Work Model: 100% Remote
We are looking for a Lead Java Developer with strong experience building and supporting enterprise-grade applications within the Financial Services domain.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable Java applications and services.
Develop high-performance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
Collaborate with architects, product managers, business stakeholders, and offshore/onshore teams.
Design and optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support.
Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Ensure development follows enterprise coding standards, security practices, and SDLC processes.
🔹 Required Skills
10+ years of Java/J2EE development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs
Experience with SQL and relational databases
Strong understanding of distributed systems and enterprise application architecture
Experience with AWS/Azure or other cloud platforms
Experience with CI/CD, Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Docker/Kubernetes is preferred
Strong communication and technical leadership skills
Strong Financial Services / Banking / Capital Markets experience is required
🔹 Financial Domain Experience
Candidates should have strong experience working on applications/projects involving areas such as:
