Research Analyst

Role Description The Research Analyst role is a part-time remote position responsible for supporting BREI’s research and evaluation initiatives in the BIW automotive segment. On a day-to-day basis, the Research Analyst will conduct market and technical research, collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and apply statistical methods to support supplier ratings, performance assessments, and industry forecasts. The role involves preparing clear reports, briefs, and presentations, contributing to research publications, and assisting in the development of analytical frameworks for supplier evaluation and technology trend analysis. The Research Analyst will collaborate virtually with senior researchers and industry partners, ensuring that findings are accurate, objective, and aligned with BREI’s mission to advance BIW technology and competitiveness.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and industry trends.
Demonstrated experience in market research and general research within technical or industrial domains.
Proficiency in statistics, including use of statistical tools or software for data analysis.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly in written reports and presentations.
Relevant academic background in economics, engineering, data science, business, or a related field.
Familiarity with automotive or manufacturing industries, especially BIW or car-body engineering, is an advantage.
Comfort working independently in a remote environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Attention to detail, commitment to objectivity, and adherence to ethical research standards.
