Remote 6 Month Contract in Ireland (Extension likely)
A leading semiconductor company is looking for an experienced Analog/RF IC Design Engineer to join its engineering team, working on complex analog sub-cells and small subsystems within advanced semiconductor products. The role offers broad ownership from specification review and schematic design through simulation, layout oversight, post-layout verification and final integration.
You will be responsible for designing and fully verifying analog blocks, performing detailed simulations and demonstrating compliance against specifications. You will work across the full design flow, including schematic development, layout supervision, parasitic extraction, post-layout simulation and top-level Rx/Tx chain verification between RF and IF interfaces.
Working closely with technical and macro leads, you will help integrate completed blocks into larger systems, resolve complex design issues and present results at block-level reviews. The role requires strong technical judgement, attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality analog designs within demanding performance and schedule constraints.
Ideal candidates will have knowledge of:
• 4–8 years of experience in Analog IC Design or a closely related field
• Strong experience designing complex analog sub-cells and small subsystems
• Schematic design and transistor-level simulation
• RF/IF signal-chain verification and Rx/Tx architectures
• Post-layout parasitic extraction and simulation
• Design verification against detailed specifications
• Experience overseeing or working closely with IC layout engineers
• Top-level verification and compliance reporting
• Device register controls and configuration for testing
• Integration of analog blocks into larger semiconductor systems
• Strong understanding of analog circuit design principles
• Experience with block-level design reviews and technical presentations
• Ability to solve complex problems within highly constrained design environments
• Experience working with technical leads and delivering production-quality designs
