Tigbourne Capital is a private equity firm founded in 2011 in the UK and headquartered in the US with a strong presence across the USA, Europe, Asia, and the Persian Gulf. The firm focuses on Enhanced Oil Recovery ("EOR"). Tigbourne Capital seeks to partner with International & National Oil Companies (“IOCs/NOCs”) to invest in EOR solutions across mid-life-to-mature oilfields to significantly increase oil production.
In addition, Tigbourne Capital is developing a state-of-the-art Oilfield Intelligence App (“App”) that can provide vital information and calculations in seconds.

Job Role Description
This is a remote internship role in software development to complete the work on the App. The path-breaking App will provide vital financial and petroleum engineering information to oil companies and investors in the oil sector.
Internship Qualifications
Strong software engineering skills including expertise in Claude, GitHub, Render, Lovable, etc…
Most useful technical skills:
1. HTML and CSS — page structure and appearance.
2. JavaScript and TypeScript — the most important programming languages for Lovable applications.
3. React — understanding components, state, forms, and routing.
4. Git and GitHub — clone, add, commit, push, branches and pull requests. GitHub describes the normal workflow as creating a branch, committing changes, opening a pull request, reviewing, and merging. GitHub documentation
5. Node.js and npm — installing packages and running or building applications.
6. SQL/PostgreSQL — tables, relationships, queries, migrations and permissions.
7. APIs and JSON — connecting payment, AI, email and external-data services.
8. Deployment and security — environment variables, API-key protection, logs, authentication and database access controls.
The candidate must have analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial, petroleum and market data and draw clear insights. Foundational knowledge of finance and investments, with interest in private equity and capital markets.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial modelling and valuation techniques is an advantage. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise summaries and presentations. Self-directed work style, strong time management, and reliability in a remote, multicultural environment.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Engineering/Science or Information Technology with knowledge of finance, economics, business, or a related discipline.
