Senior Creative Strategist

AI Case Leads is looking for an experienced, self-directed Senior Creative Strategist to lead the ideation, briefing, and testing of paid media creative across our legal advertising accounts.
We are a performance marketing agency that helps law firms acquire signed retainers. In this role, you will develop creative angles, write detailed production briefs, direct our video editors and content team, and use performance data to determine which concepts should be scaled, improved, or replaced.
This position focuses on creative strategy and day-to-day creative direction. It does not include hiring, personnel management, or media buying responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop new advertising concepts, hooks, and creative angles each week.
• Decide which concepts should be produced, scaled, improved, or replaced.
• Research competitor advertising and relevant industry trends.
• Ensure concepts comply with Meta advertising policies and legal advertising requirements before production.
• Write detailed production briefs covering hooks, structure, pacing, copy, calls to action, and visual direction.
• Write scripts and develop storyboards for video and creator-led content.
• Provide day-to-day creative direction to video editors and the content team.
• Review completed assets and provide clear, actionable written feedback.
• Plan and execute creative tests across hooks, formats, and messaging angles.
• Analyze creative performance using metrics such as hook rate, click-through rate, cost per lead, and cost per signed retainer.
• Collaborate with the media buyer on weekly planning and creative decisions.
• Maintain an organized library of tested angles, hooks, spend, and performance results.
Required Qualifications
• Four or more years of experience in creative strategy within a performance marketing agency or in-house performance team.
• Proven experience writing production briefs for video editors and designers.
• Strong understanding of creative performance metrics, including hook rate, CTR, CPL, and cost per acquisition or signed retainer.
• Excellent English communication and copywriting skills, with the ability to write natural, conversational hooks.
• Working knowledge of Meta advertising policies.
• Experience directing UGC creators or influencers.
• Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, Notion, and Slack.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines without constant follow-up.
• Full-time availability. This position cannot be combined with other client engagements.
What Success Looks Like
• Production briefs are delivered on schedule, and editors consistently have clear direction.
• New creative concepts are tested every week, with results properly documented.
• Cost per acquisition improves over time.
• The creative library remains current and clearly shows what has been tested and the results produced.
• Potential compliance issues are identified before production rather than after an ad is rejected.
• The co-founder can step away from day-to-day creative direction.
