About the Role
accel bi corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Budget Analyst to support budget operations, contract monitoring, financial reporting, and fund utilization activities. This position requires strong analytical skills, experience with budget and financial processes, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
This is a fully remote W2 opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and process journal vouchers accurately across multiple funding sources.
Monitor contract expenditures against approved budgets.
Generate reports on budget utilization, contract spending, variances, and projected costs.
Track fund utilization across multiple state and federal funding sources.
Prepare and process budget revisions with proper documentation and audit trails.
Support reconciliation activities and respond to budget-related inquiries.
Maintain accuracy while managing a high volume of financial transactions.
Collaborate with finance and program teams to ensure compliance with budgetary requirements.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of experience in:
Budget Analysis
Accounting
Financial Reporting
Government Finance or Healthcare Finance environments
Experience monitoring contract spend across multiple contracts.
Experience tracking state and federal fund utilization.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Proficient in collaboration tools such as:
Microsoft Teams
Zoom
Microsoft Project Suite
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Health and Human Services programs.
Experience with Medicaid-related programs or healthcare funding environments.
Previous State Government or Public Sector experience.
Knowledge of budget revision and fund accounting processes.
Mandatory Requirements
