Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Embryologist based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. The Junior Embryologist will assist in daily IVF laboratory operations, including handling and processing oocytes and semen samples, preparing culture media, and maintaining laboratory equipment and incubators. Responsibilities include monitoring embryo development, documenting procedures and outcomes accurately, and following strict aseptic and quality control protocols. The role also involves supporting senior embryologists in advanced procedures, coordinating with clinicians and nursing staff, and adhering to regulatory, ethical, and safety standards. The position offers hands-on training, with opportunities to build skills in assisted reproduction and andrology within a structured clinical setting.
Qualifications
Strong laboratory skills, including handling biological samples, aseptic technique, and use of basic lab equipment.
Foundational knowledge of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) procedures and protocols within a clinical laboratory setting.
Understanding of reproductive medicine and assisted reproduction principles, including embryology and gamete biology.
Basic andrology skills, such as semen analysis, preparation, and handling for assisted reproductive procedures.
Relevant degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Zoology, Medicine, or a related field; postgraduate training in embryology is an advantage.
Attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and commitment to quality, safety, and ethical standards.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, follow instructions from senior staff, and manage time effectively in a high-precision environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours as required by laboratory and procedure schedules; prior experience in an IVF or clinical lab is preferred.
