Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Gurugram. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems, preparing detailed CAD models and drawings, and supporting prototype build and testing. Daily tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams, performing engineering calculations, conducting design reviews, and refining designs based on performance data and feedback. The role involves contributing to R&D activities, evaluating new materials and technologies, and ensuring designs meet safety, reliability, and cost targets. The Mechanical Engineer will also support project planning, documentation, and coordination with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, including core principles such as mechanics, materials, thermodynamics, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in Machine Design, including component selection, tolerance analysis, and design for reliability and manufacturability.
Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, detailed drafting, and assembly design.
Ability to manage tasks within Project Management frameworks, including planning, scheduling, risk identification, and cross-functional coordination.
Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including concept generation, experimental testing, and validation of new designs or technologies.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Working knowledge of relevant standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on practical implementation.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, and external partners.
Experience with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD), prototyping, or manufacturing processes is an advantage.
