Our Client is looking for an SAP Engagement Cloud | Emarsys Developer/Migration Specialist for a contract engagement.

Job Summary
We are seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Email Developer with strong coding acumen and a good understanding of database field-mapping to spearhead this platform migration. This is not a traditional, scratch-built HTML development role. Instead, you will use a highly advanced, content-block architecture within SAP Engagement Cloud / Emarsys.
The ideal candidate must hit the ground running, understanding how to reference complex data fields, utilize generalized UIs, work with ESL (Emarsys Scripting Language) / Twig, and manipulate templates to deliver flawless automated workflows under a tight deadline.
Core Responsibilities
Campaign Migration: Efficiently migrate, configure, and QA complex marketing campaigns into the marketing cloud platform before the end-of-year deadline.
Component Development: Build, modify, and optimize responsive templates using platform content blocks and WYSIWYG building tools.
Scripting & Logic: Write and troubleshoot dynamic personalization script logic using ESL (built off the Twig template engine).
Data Integration: Reference and call specific database fields inside the platform to ensure proper data values can be used with decision logic and/or be used within content.
Technical Collaboration: Partner closely with the agency's resident Senior Email Developer to align on best practices, architecture framework, and workflow logic.
Qualifications & Requirements
Platform Expertise
SAP Engagement Cloud / Emarsys: Strong practical exposure to the platform, specifically its content block framework and Generalized UI.
Template Scripting: Professional experience writing template logic using ESL (Emarsys Scripting Language) or Twig.
Modern Web Standards: Advanced knowledge of responsive HTML/CSS tailored specifically for email client compatibility and platform content blocks.
Data & Architecture
Senior Coding Perspective: A minimum of 5+ years of HTML/CSS development experience, bringing structured problem-solving to a marketing technology environment.
Database & Workflow Literacy: Strong architectural knowledge of how data is structured, handled, and stored in marketing databases. An understanding of field-mapping, data schemas, relational fields, and marketing automation workflows.
Nice to Have
Prior experience delivering digital assets or migrations for the automotive industry (specifically supporting tier-one brands).
Functional design capabilities using Adobe Photoshop or Adobe XD to extract assets or verify layouts.
