Role Description The Accountant role is a part-time, remote position supporting Patina Solutions and other consulting practices with day-to-day financial and accounting activities. Responsibilities include maintaining general ledgers, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. The Accountant will prepare financial statements and reports, support budgeting and forecasting, and help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies. The role also involves reviewing financial data for accuracy, supporting audits, and communicating findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and client teams. The individual will work independently in a remote environment while collaborating virtually with project teams and client contacts.
Qualifications
Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Proficiency with accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, and cloud-based finance platforms).
Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and principles (e.g., GAAP) and experience supporting audits and compliance.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial data, identify variances, and provide clear recommendations.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with remote teams and presenting financial information.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a part-time schedule, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or working with multiple client stakeholders is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
