Role Description The Electrical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. The role involves designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, including power distribution layouts, panel schedules, cable sizing, and single-line diagrams. Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed drawings and technical documentation, performing load calculations, selecting equipment and materials, and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes and standards. The engineer will coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines, attend site visits as needed, and support installation and commissioning activities. The role also includes reviewing vendor proposals, resolving design-related issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Electrical Design and Design Engineering skills for developing detailed project drawings and documentation.
Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering knowledge and understanding of Electricity principles for safe and efficient system design.
Candidates should possess expertise in Power Distribution systems, including load calculations, equipment selection, and layout planning.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience with CAD tools and electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with national and international electrical codes and standards (such as IEC, IS, or NEC) is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and safety considerations.
Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
