Cyber Security Analyst

Role Description The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events across applications, networks, and systems. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing security alerts and logs, conducting vulnerability assessments, investigating potential incidents, and supporting incident response activities. The analyst will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to strengthen application and network security, implement security controls, and support secure configuration and patch management. Additional responsibilities include documenting findings, preparing security reports, contributing to security awareness efforts, and staying current on emerging threats and best practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ankola.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Cybersecurity with experience in threat identification, risk assessment, and security best practices.
Proficiency in Application Security, including secure coding concepts, vulnerability scanning, and remediation collaboration with development teams.
Hands-on skills in Network Security, such as firewall policies, intrusion detection/prevention, and network traffic analysis.
Experience with Malware Analysis or exposure to analyzing suspicious files, understanding malware behavior, and supporting containment efforts.
Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting logs, correlating events, and drawing clear conclusions from complex data.
Familiarity with SIEM tools, endpoint protection platforms, and vulnerability management solutions.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, or equivalent) are preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical findings clearly.
Willingness to work on-site in Ankola and participate in occasional after-hours support for security incidents, if needed.
