Role Description The Advocate will work full time on-site in Bhayandar, handling a range of civil and/or criminal matters as allocated by the firm. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting clients, understanding their issues, drafting petitions, contracts, and legal opinions, and preparing case files with supporting documentation. The role involves regular appearances in court, coordinating with senior counsel and other stakeholders, and tracking case progress, hearings, and deadlines. The Advocate will also conduct legal research, stay updated on relevant laws and judgments, and maintain accurate records, files, and reports in line with office procedures.
Qualifications
Possess a recognized law degree (LL.B or equivalent) and a valid enrollment to practice law with the appropriate Bar Council.
Demonstrated ability in legal drafting, including petitions, notices, agreements, and written submissions.
Strong skills in legal research and case analysis, with the ability to interpret statutes, rules, and case law.
Effective client communication and counseling skills, with the ability to explain legal matters clearly and professionally.
Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple cases, deadlines, and court appearances efficiently.
Integrity, professional ethics, and respect for confidentiality in all client and case-related interactions.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, senior advocates, and external stakeholders in a team-based environment.
Prior internship or work experience in litigation or a law firm setting is preferred but not mandatory for promising candidates
