Full-Stack Engineering Intern (React + Node)

What we're building
Your ATS gets resumes in and offers out. The interview loop in between still runs on calendar invites and memory. Someone reads the resume five minutes before the call, asks whatever comes to mind, and says "seemed strong" in the debrief.
Bash runs that middle part. Before the call it researches the candidate and writes the question plan. During the call it sits beside the interviewer and suggests what to ask next. After the call it checks every claimed skill against what was actually said and writes the report in under a minute. Between rounds it carries forward what's verified and what's still open. At the end it ranks the finalists side by side, every mark cited.
That means the interface matters more than usual. An interviewer glancing at the co-pilot mid-call has two seconds to read the next question. A hiring manager comparing three finalists has to see the difference without scrolling. Get the screen wrong and the data underneath it stops being useful.
The role
You'll take features from an empty file to production. Frontend, the API behind it, and the part in the middle where the two disagree.
Real work, shipped. Not shadowing someone else's.
What you'll do
Build product surfaces in React and TypeScript, from the component up
Write the endpoints behind them in Node or FastAPI
Model the data, and notice when the schema is the actual problem
Fix things in production, including the ones you shipped
Sit in on how features get decided, not just how they get built
What you'll need
Two hard requirements: React with TypeScript, and Node. You've built something people other than you have used, and you've written the backend for it yourself.
After that, the more of this you've touched the better. Nobody has all of it.
Python: FastAPI, or enough Python that you'd be comfortable picking it up. Parts of our stack live there
Data: Postgres or similar. You can write a join without looking it up
The glue: git, how a deploy works, reading a stack trace without panicking
Taste: you notice when spacing is off and loading states are missing, and you care enough to fix them
Bonus points for React Query, Tailwind, Docker, or anything you've put on the internet and kept running.
Who fits
You pick up new tools fast. Stacks change, and how quickly you learn matters more than what you already know today.
You follow a problem through to done. You flag blockers early, and nobody has to ask you twice.
Worth knowing
Work lives in ClickUp, but a ticket here is usually a sentence and a deadline, not a spec. You'll be expected to scope it yourself and ask when something doesn't add up.
Do well and you'll get a pre-placement offer in month five, before the internship ends.
