AI Full-Stack Product Engineer

About Soontra
Soontra is a content operating system for creators, brands, and agencies. It connects their files, projects, edits, approvals, publishing, and results in one place.
Our first focus is marketing firms that manage content for many clients. Soontra helps their team handle more client work without adding the same amount of headcount.
We are a small team moving fast. You will work closely with our Lead Engineer and take real ownership of the product.
The role
We need a fast full-stack builder who can take a problem, understand it, build the solution, test it, and ship it.
You will not wait for perfect instructions. You should be able to ask good questions, make smart choices, and keep moving. You will work with our Lead Engineer, but you must also be able to own features on your own.
What you will do
• Build product features from start to finish
• Build and improve AI features that work with real files, content, and performance data
• Create clean frontend experiences and reliable backend systems
• Work with APIs, OAuth, databases, file storage, and background jobs
• Improve search, retrieval, AI tool use, and automated workflows
• Fix bugs and improve speed, stability, and security
• Test your own work before handing it off
• Deploy updates and monitor them in production
• Give short, clear progress updates and flag blockers early
• Ship useful product improvements every week
What we are looking for
• You have built and shipped real web products
• You are strong with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• You can build backend APIs using Node.js, Python, or a similar stack
• You understand SQL databases such as Postgres or Supabase
• You have used LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini
• You understand at least some of these: RAG, vector search, tool calling, AI agents, prompt testing, or model evaluation
• You use tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot to work faster
• You know AI-generated code still needs to be reviewed and tested
• You are comfortable with Git, code reviews, debugging, and production deployments
• You communicate clearly in English
• You can work full-time and have reliable daily overlap with Aashish
A degree is not required. Years of experience matter less than what you have built and how independently you can work.

Compensation
The pay range is $600 to $800 USD per month. The final offer will depend on your ability, experience, speed, and level of ownership.
Shortlisted candidates will complete a small paid build test before the final offer.
