Role Description The Audit Assistant will support audit engagements by assisting in planning, executing, and completing financial audits for clients across various sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, testing controls and transactions, gathering and organizing audit evidence, and preparing working papers under the guidance of senior team members. The role involves drafting sections of audit reports, identifying variances or issues, and communicating findings clearly and professionally. The Audit Assistant will also help ensure compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards, maintain thorough documentation, and coordinate with client personnel to obtain required information. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Financial Statements and basic Finance concepts, with the ability to interpret and analyze key financial information.
Practical exposure or interest in Financial Audits and preparation or review of Audit Reports, including working with supporting documentation.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including the ability to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential risks in financial data.
Relevant academic background such as a degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; pursuing or holding professional qualifications (e.g., CA, CMA) is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with accounting or audit software is beneficial.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear documentation and professional client interaction.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn, adapt to structured audit methodologies, and manage time effectively to meet engagement deadlines.
