About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Unbridled Counseling & Wellness is a small, values-driven practice based in Mooresville, NC, and we're looking for a licensed therapist to join our team for a telehealth position. Our clients range from children to adults, and they come to us with a wide variety of concerns, so there's room for you to bring your own strengths and interests to your caseload. You'll help clients build skills, make sense of their own stories, and feel understood. We care about warm, person-centered care, and we care just as much about the people providing it, so you'll find a supportive, collaborative team here even though you're working remotely. Clinicians are W-2 employees in a semi co-op style compensation model (where you have a real stake in how the practice runs), and you'll have flexibility in building a schedule that fits your life.
What you'll do
• Complete thoughtful assessments and diagnostic evaluations using current ICD-10 coding standards.
• Build individualized treatment plans with your clients, not just for them.
• Provide individual therapy via telehealth using the evidence-based approaches you're trained in and passionate about. Family or couples work is welcome if it's something you enjoy, but it's completely optional.
• Deliver sessions through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, in a way that still feels warm and human.
• Keep clear, timely documentation in our EHR (we want notes that serve the client and hold up to audits, without swallowing your evenings).
• Consult with other providers, schools, and families when it helps your clients.
What we're hoping you bring
• A license in North Carolina (or an associate license with supervision) in counseling, social work, or a related field.
• Experience or interest in working with children, adolescents, and adults.
• Training in one or more evidence-based modalities, such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, or something else you love (we're glad to hear what that is).
• Comfort with common presenting concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship stress, plus openness to clients who are neurodivergent or navigating less common needs.
• Comfort with EHR systems and delivering care through telehealth, including a private, quiet space to see clients from.
• A person-centered mindset, meaning you meet clients where they are and stay curious instead of assuming.
Why Unbridled
We're in-network with BCBS, Aetna, and MedCost as a practice, and if you need to be credentialed with any of them (or with other panels), we'll support you through that process and handle the credentialing legwork alongside you. We help with what we can right now, and we're hoping to offer even more as we grow (we're building this thing intentionally, and we'd love for you to be part of shaping it). If you want to do good clinical work in a practice that treats therapists like real people too, we'd love to hear from you.
