Role Description The Omni Sport Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Decathlon Sports in Orion Mall, Bengaluru. In this position, the advisor engages with customers on the shop floor, understands their sporting interests and needs, and recommends suitable products and solutions. Daily tasks include providing sport-specific advice, demonstrating equipment, assisting with product selection, and ensuring shelves and displays are well stocked and organized. The advisor supports both in-store and omni-channel services, including handling customer queries related to online orders, returns, and store services. The role also involves participating in local sport events, promoting an active lifestyle, maintaining store standards, and collaborating with the team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Physical Education and Sports Training to provide informed, sport-specific guidance to customers.
Candidates should possess skills in Coaching and Sports Coaching to support beginners and enthusiasts in choosing gear and improving their practice.
Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to interact effectively with customers, teammates, and stakeholders.
Enthusiasm for sports and an active lifestyle, with the ability to share personal sport experiences in a customer-focused way.
Ability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and holidays, and to manage physical tasks such as standing and moving for extended periods.
Team-oriented mindset, reliability, and a willingness to learn about new sports, products, and retail processes.
Prior retail or customer service experience is beneficial; basic proficiency with digital tools and point-of-sale systems is an advantage.
