Role Description The EHS Environment Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at the Anklesvar facility. The role involves implementing and monitoring Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting safety inspections and audits, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and supporting incident reporting and investigation. The EHS Environment Officer will coordinate occupational health and workplace safety programs, deliver training sessions, and maintain documentation and records related to EHS activities. The role also includes collaborating with operations, maintenance, and management teams to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in environmental performance.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Workplace Safety skills, with experience implementing safety protocols in industrial or chemical environments.
Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) expertise, including knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance frameworks, and risk assessment practices.
Candidates should possess Occupational Health knowledge, with the ability to support programs related to employee health, ergonomics, and exposure control.
Candidates should possess NEBOSH or equivalent recognized safety certification, demonstrating formal training in safety management and risk control.
Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Ability to interpret and apply applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to EHS in manufacturing settings.
Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to engage colleagues at all levels in safety and environmental initiatives.
Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to prepare clear reports, documentation, and improvement plans.
Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and emergency preparedness drills is beneficial.
