Role Description The Vice President Finance is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company. This role includes leading financial planning and analysis, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports. The Vice President Finance will monitor cash flow, margins, inventory-related finances, and capital requirements, providing strategic recommendations to support profitability and growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial performance, optimizing internal controls, collaborating with senior leadership on business strategy, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. This role also involves leading and mentoring finance team members, implementing financial systems and process improvements, and supporting key decisions related to investments, pricing, and risk management.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to prepare, review, and interpret reports for leadership and stakeholders.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to evaluate performance metrics, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
Experience in senior finance leadership roles within retail, jewelry, or related industries is beneficial.
Knowledge of accounting standards, compliance requirements, and internal controls frameworks is required.
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Proficiency with financial software, ERP systems, and advanced spreadsheet and reporting tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a relevant advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, MBA) is an advantage.
