Role Description The Production Manager role at Sleep Guardian is a full-time, on-site position based in Surat. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, including planning schedules, allocating resources, and ensuring that manufacturing targets are met safely and efficiently. The Production Manager monitors quality standards, coordinates with procurement and inventory teams, and resolves issues that could affect output, timelines, or product quality. The role involves supervising and mentoring production staff, enforcing safety and compliance procedures, and maintaining accurate production reports and documentation. The Production Manager collaborates closely with operations, quality assurance, and logistics teams to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement across the production floor.
Qualifications
Strong production management and operations skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Experience with quality control and process improvement, with the ability to implement and monitor standard operating procedures.
Demonstrated leadership, team supervision, and people management skills in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficiency in using production management tools or ERP systems, and comfort with basic data analysis and reporting.
Solid understanding of workplace safety practices and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments and build strong working relationships.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience as a Production Manager or in a similar supervisory role in manufacturing; experience in consumer products or textiles is an advantage.
