Role Description The Croatian Audio Transcription and QC Specialist is a full-time remote role focused on accurately transcribing Croatian audio content and performing quality control checks. Day-to-day responsibilities include listening to various audio materials, converting speech into written text, and ensuring adherence to linguistic, formatting, and style guidelines. The specialist will review and correct transcripts produced by other contributors or automated tools, flag inconsistencies, and maintain high accuracy standards. The role may also involve collaborating with project managers, following project-specific instructions, meeting deadlines, and providing feedback to improve transcription and QC processes.
Qualifications
Audio-related skills: proficiency in Audio Editing, Audio Engineering, and familiarity with Audio Visual (AV) Systems.
Live Sound experience: ability to work with Live Sound environments, helpful for understanding varied recording conditions.
Social Media awareness: basic understanding of Social Media platforms and formats that may influence audio content.
Native or near-native proficiency in Croatian, with excellent listening skills and strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Experience in audio transcription and quality control, preferably in a professional or freelance setting.
High attention to detail, ability to follow style guides, and strong organizational and time management skills.
Comfort with remote work, reliable internet connection, and ability to use transcription, audio, and collaboration tools.
Relevant education or training in linguistics, translation, audio production, or a related field is an advantage.
