Role Description The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across applications, networks, and systems. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring security events, performing vulnerability assessments, analyzing threats, and responding to security incidents. The role involves collaborating with development, infrastructure, and management teams to integrate security best practices, update policies, and support compliance requirements. The Cyber Security Engineer will also document security procedures, prepare technical reports, and contribute to security awareness initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to design and implement security frameworks.
Experience in Network Security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and secure network architecture.
Proficiency in Application Security, including secure coding practices, code reviews, and application threat modeling.
Hands-on experience with Vulnerability Assessment tools and methodologies, and the ability to prioritize and remediate risks.
Knowledge of security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP) and security incident response processes.
Familiarity with SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, and identity and access management tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CEH, Security+, CISSP, OSCP) are an advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Chennai, communicate clearly, and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
