Senior Technical Lead – Full Stack / CloudRole Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Lead – Full Stack to lead the design, development, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of our software products.
The role requires strong hands-on experience across UI development, backend microservices, database design, Android/mobile application development, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and production deployments on Google Cloud.
The Technical Lead will work closely with the Product Owner, founders, business stakeholders, designers, and engineering team to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology leader who can design the architecture, write code, guide developers, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and take ownership of the complete software delivery lifecycle.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Technical Leadership & Architecture
Own the overall technical architecture and technology direction of the product.
Design scalable, secure, and maintainable full-stack solutions.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, libraries, and development practices.
Establish coding standards, development guidelines, design patterns, and best practices.
Conduct technical design reviews and code reviews.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to developers.
Identify technical risks, dependencies, performance issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure solutions are designed with scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability in mind.
2. Front-End Development – Angular / React
Design and develop responsive, modern, and user-friendly web applications.
Lead development using Angular and/or React.js.
Develop reusable UI components and front-end architecture.
Integrate web applications with REST APIs and backend services.
Implement authentication, authorization, form validation, error handling, and state management.
Optimize application performance, page loading, and overall user experience.
Establish front-end coding standards and reusable component libraries.
Work closely with Product Owners and UI/UX designers to translate requirements and designs into functional applications.
3. Microservices & Backend Development
Design and develop scalable microservices-based backend applications.
Develop RESTful APIs and service-to-service integrations.
Define service boundaries, communication patterns, authentication, and authorization.
Implement business logic, validation, exception handling, logging, and monitoring.
Design solutions for scalability, fault tolerance, and high availability.
Integrate third-party APIs and external services where required.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and application issues.
Establish standards for API design, versioning, security, and documentation.
4. Database Design & Development
Design and maintain application database architecture.
Develop efficient database schemas, tables, relationships, indexes, queries, and stored procedures where applicable.
Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases based on application requirements.
Optimize database queries and application performance.
Design data models supporting scalability and future product growth.
Implement appropriate data validation, integrity, backup, and recovery strategies.
Support database migration, data integration, and data transformation activities.
Monitor database performance and identify optimization opportunities.
5. Android / Mobile Application Development
Design and develop mobile applications for Android platforms.
Build mobile applications using React Native / React-based mobile technologies, where appropriate.
Develop reusable mobile components and integrate applications with backend APIs.
Implement mobile authentication, notifications, location services, camera/device capabilities, and other required integrations.
Ensure applications provide a consistent and responsive user experience across supported devices.
Troubleshoot mobile application issues and performance problems.
Manage application builds, testing, release preparation, and production deployment.
Ensure mobile applications follow appropriate security and platform best practices.
6. API & System Integration
Design and implement APIs connecting web, mobile, backend, and external systems.
Integrate third-party services and platforms.
Define API contracts and integration standards.
Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure data exchange.
Handle API errors, retries, timeouts, and service availability.
Maintain API documentation and technical specifications.
7. Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Design, configure, and manage application deployments on Google Cloud Platform.
Deploy web applications, backend services, microservices, and databases to GCP.
Work with services such as Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Firebase, Cloud Storage, Google Cloud IAM, Secret Manager, Cloud Logging, and related GCP services.
Design appropriate environments for development, testing, staging, and production.
Configure CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Manage application configuration, secrets, access control, and environment variables.
Monitor application health, performance, availability, and cloud resource utilization.
Identify opportunities to optimize cloud infrastructure and operating costs.
Troubleshoot deployment and production infrastructure issues.
8. DevOps & CI/CD
Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
Implement source control and branching strategies using Git.
Automate application testing and deployment wherever practical.
Manage development, QA, staging, and production deployment processes.
Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and production diagnostics.
Support release management and rollback strategies.
Promote automation and engineering practices that improve development and deployment efficiency.
9. Security & Quality
Implement secure application development practices across UI, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
Ensure appropriate authentication, authorization, encryption, and access controls.
Identify and address security vulnerabilities and technical risks.
Establish appropriate application testing and quality standards.
Support performance, scalability, integration, and security testing.
Ensure production applications meet reliability and availability expectations.
10. Product & Business Collaboration
Work closely with the Senior Product Owner to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, estimation, and technical planning.
Provide technical estimates, dependencies, risks, and implementation options.
Help identify technical approaches that balance business value, development effort, cost, scalability, and time to market.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
Communicate technical progress, risks, and issues clearly to business and product stakeholders.
11. Hands-On Development & Troubleshooting
Remain hands-on with coding and development activities.
Develop critical or complex components when required.
Investigate and resolve complex application, integration, database, and production issues.
Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term solutions.
Support production releases and critical incidents.
Continuously improve application architecture and technical debt.
