Role Description The Procurement Contract Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for managing procurement contracts and supporting purchasing activities for project and organizational needs. Day-to-day tasks include drafting, reviewing, and administering contracts; preparing and processing purchase orders; and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The specialist will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to align procurement terms with budget, schedule, and technical requirements, while maintaining accurate records and documentation. This role also involves monitoring vendor performance, assisting with supplier qualification, and contributing to risk mitigation strategies in contract terms. The Procurement Contract Specialist will collaborate on process improvements, support audits and reporting, and provide analytical insights to optimize procurement decisions.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of procurement contracts and experience administering contract documents and terms.
Hands-on experience preparing, processing, and tracking purchase orders within an ERP or procurement system.
Demonstrated capability in contract negotiation, including pricing, terms, and conditions with vendors and subcontractors.
Understanding of government procurement processes, public bidding requirements, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Solid analytical skills to evaluate proposals, compare cost scenarios, and support data-driven procurement decisions.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Experience in construction, infrastructure, or engineering-related industries is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proficiency with standard office software and procurement or contract management tools.
