Role Description The Registrar – Pediatric & OBG is a full-time, on-site role based at Ovum Hospitals, Bengaluru East. The registrar will assist consultants in pediatrics and obstetrics/gynecology with outpatient, inpatient, and emergency care, including history taking, clinical examination, documentation, and coordination of treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, updating medical records, preparing discharge summaries, and ensuring accurate handovers between shifts. The role involves supporting deliveries, neonatal care, and pediatric procedures under supervision, while adhering to hospital protocols and evidence-based clinical guidelines. The registrar will collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and support teams to maintain high standards of patient safety, communication, and service quality.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in clinical Medicine and relevant exposure to Obstetrics & Gynecology practice.
Clinical experience or training in Pediatrics, including routine pediatric care and acute case management.
Knowledge or hands-on experience in Neonatology, including care of newborns, NICU exposure, and monitoring of high-risk neonates.
Ability to work effectively with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring clear communication and coordinated patient care.
Basic experience assisting in Surgery or obstetric procedures under supervision and willingness to follow sterile and safety protocols.
MBBS degree from a recognized institution; PG qualification or Diploma in Pediatrics or OBG is an advantage.
Valid medical registration and eligibility to practice in India.
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to patient-centered care.
Ability to work in a high-volume hospital environment, including rotational duties and emergency shifts.
Proficiency in medical documentation and familiarity with hospital information systems is preferred.
