Experience:
4-8 years of billing and quantity surveying experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Center, Industrial, Commercial, or Mission-Critical Projects.
Position Overview:
The Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing, verifying, and managing client and subcontractor billing activities for Data Center construction projects. The role includes quantity measurement, preparation of Running Account (RA) bills, cost monitoring, variation management, and ensuring timely certification and payment in compliance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Billing:
Prepare and submit RA Bills as per contract requirements.
Prepare and finalize project closing and final bills.
Measure executed quantities from approved drawings and site records.
Coordinate with Client and PMC teams for bill verification and certification.
Ensure timely submission of invoices and supporting documentation.
Monitor certification and payment status.
Quantity Surveying & Measurement:
Measure Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP work quantities.
Verify executed quantities against approved BOQs and drawings.
Prepare quantity reconciliation and tracking statements.
Maintain measurement records and supporting documents.
Subcontractor Billing:
Verify subcontractor RA bills and supporting measurements.
Review quantities, rates, and work completion status.
Process payment recommendations for subcontractors.
Maintain subcontractor billing records and payment tracking.
Variation & Change Management:
Identify and quantify variation works.
Prepare Extra Item (EI) claims and variation statements.
Maintain records of change orders and client instructions.
Coordinate approvals with commercial and project teams.
Cost Control & Commercial Support:
Monitor project costs against budgeted quantities.
Track material consumption and wastage.
Prepare cost comparison and reconciliation reports.
Support project budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis activities.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain billing registers, Measurement Books (MB), and quantity records.
Manage approved drawings, BOQs, contracts, work orders, and billing documents.
Ensure compliance with contractual and audit requirements.
Coordination:
Coordinate with Site Engineers, Planning Engineers, QA/QC, Procurement, Accounts, Clients, PMCs, and Subcontractors.
Participate in commercial and project review meetings.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
Quantity Surveying Certification preferred.
Experience:
4-8 years of billing and quantity surveying experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Center, Industrial, Commercial, or Mission-Critical Projects.
Experience handling projects above INR 100 Crores preferred.
Technical Skills:
Primavera P6, MS Project, Advanced Excel, Power BI (preferred), AutoCAD, ERP Systems (SAP/Oracle).
