Role Description The Interior Design Intern role at Studio Indique is a remote, contract position supporting the design team on residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with space planning, sourcing furniture and FF&E, preparing mood boards, and contributing to conceptual design presentations. The intern will help with drawing and documentation tasks, such as floor plans, elevations, and layouts, using design software as needed. Additional duties include supporting project research, organizing material libraries, communicating with team members to coordinate design details, and maintaining project files and documentation. This role offers hands-on exposure to the full design process, from early concept development through to final detailing.
Qualifications
Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to translate concepts into functional layouts.
Knowledge of Furniture and FF&E, including sourcing, specification, and basic understanding of materials and finishes.
Strong Communication skills for clear collaboration with designers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Enrollment in or completion of a program in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar software, and presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, PowerPoint).
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote setting.
Interest in narrative-driven, culturally informed design and willingness to learn from a globally distributed team.
