Role Description The Senior Highway Engineer – Design/Civil3D expert is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role involves leading highway design assignments, preparing detailed geometric and pavement designs, and developing drawings and models using Civil3D and related design tools. The engineer will review project requirements, perform technical assessments, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure designs comply with relevant standards and guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include preparing design reports, reviewing drawings, supporting feasibility and alignment studies, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and CAD technicians. The role also requires collaboration with project managers, participation in client meetings, and proactive identification of design risks and mitigation measures.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong expertise in Highway Design and Highway Engineering for national, state, and urban road projects.
Candidates should possess skills in Civil Engineering Design, including geometric design, drainage design, and pavement design.
Candidates should possess experience in Feasibility Studies and planning for Infrastructure Projects.
Candidates should possess advanced proficiency in Civil3D and related design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MX, or similar tools).
Relevant bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a master’s degree in transportation or highway engineering is an advantage.
Demonstrated experience leading highway design projects, preferably as a senior or lead engineer.
Strong understanding of applicable design standards, codes, and guidelines (national and international, as relevant).
Effective communication, coordination, and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide junior team members.
Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, manage multiple deadlines, and deliver accurate work with attention to detail.
