Role Description The Sales Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Columbus, OH. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing a portfolio of prospective and existing partners, and promoting university programs, services, or initiatives to external organizations. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and outreach, conducting sales presentations and product demonstrations, preparing proposals, and negotiating agreements in alignment with university guidelines. The Sales Executive will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure offerings meet partner needs, track performance metrics, maintain accurate records in CRM systems, and provide regular reports and insights to leadership.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally in education, nonprofit, or related sectors.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and clearly convey value propositions.
Proficiency in relationship building, networking, and consultative selling, with a focus on long-term partnerships and ethical practices.
Solid analytical and organizational skills, including comfort with using CRM tools, tracking metrics, and managing multiple opportunities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while exercising sound judgment and independent initiative.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Familiarity with higher education or public institutions and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices is highly beneficial.
