Role Description Agent to sell cottonised fibre. The agent will identify and approach potential buyers in the textile, spinning, and garment manufacturing sectors, build and maintain client relationships, and manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market visits, presenting product benefits, negotiating pricing and terms, preparing quotations, and following up on orders and payments. The role also involves gathering market intelligence, providing feedback on customer requirements, and coordinating with internal teams on stock availability and delivery schedules. The agent is expected to meet assigned sales targets, maintain accurate records of activities, and represent the company professionally in all interactions.
Qualifications
Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify prospects, present solutions, and close deals.
Knowledge of textiles, fibres, or related industrial products, preferably including experience with cotton or sustainable materials.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Basic proficiency in using digital tools for reporting, documentation, and communication (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM or sales tracking systems).
Self-motivated and target-driven, with strong time management, planning, and organizational capabilities.
Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, conduct regular field visits, and adapt to dynamic market conditions.
Prior experience in B2B sales, industrial products, textiles, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in business, textiles, or a related discipline is an advantage.
